8: Activities, publications etc. Institute runs programme of short courses for adults, history, archive and related talks, walks and workshops. Annual Raphael Samuel Lecture. Computer facilities and careers advice in library. Also general reference, daily newspapers and magazines.

10: Visitors / Researchers No appointment required but it is advisable to contact the library before visiting.
11: Background information Bishopsgate Foundation established 1891 by educational reformer, Rev. William Rogers, Rector of St Botolph, Bishopsgate, to give aid to the poor and to build an Institute providing free libraries, a large hall and meeting rooms for the benefit of the public.
