| 8: Activities, publications etc. | FOIL organises monthly lectures, visits to historical sites in Perthshire and social events, and publishes a newsletter, FOIL facts, three times per year (£1 to non-members)(Subs £12 per annum). |

| 11: Background information | Innerpeffray Library and School were were built pre-1680 by David Drummond, 3rd Lord Madertie, "for the benefit and encouragement of young students" Endowed first by Madertie and then by his nephew, William,second Viscount of Strathallan, who succeeded him and set up the Innerpeffray Mortification which maintains the Library and Schoolhouse to this day. |
| 12: Collections | The collection includes some 3,000 titles printed between 1502 and 1799, religion being the largest subject group, and contains many rare and interesting works. The remaining 1,400 volumes were printed since 1799. A continuous record of borrowings from 1747 to 1968 is a holding of major significance. |
| 13: Buildings | Grade II listed purpose-built library building, completed in 1762, in remote rural position adjacent to chapel and school. |
